09Mar2010	Resurrection olmec As the number of chooks steadily increases so too does the need for housing. 08Mar2010	Flavor of the day - Raspberry olmec Over the past few weeks we've been getting the odd handful of berries off our small patch of raspberry canes. Today I noticed they were dripping with fruit. Some so ripe they fell off as I brushed past the plant. It's going to be raspberries and ice-cream for desert. 08 Mar 2010

02Mar2010	Conquering Clucky Chooks Melisa Sinclair For the past several weeks, our chooks had been clucky....sitting on either one egg, or sometimes no eggs at all. They just sat in the nest boxes and stubbornly wouldn't leave the nest. We tried putting them in a clucky box for a few days, but this did not work. As soon as they came out, they would go straight back on the nest. But a bit by accident, we discovered a technique that worked really well to take the cluckiness out of the chook! 02 Mar 2010 Uncluck my chook

Unknown Insect

This strange looking insect with the long 'tail' appeared in the house the other day.

Looks like a cross between a dragon fly and a wasp. Fortunately it didn't hang around.

Summer
